Iradell Ray, born abt 1828 in Russell County, VA, son of John Ray & Elizabeth Hess. Abt. 1852, probably in Russell County, he married Mary Taylor, daughter of Nimrod Taylor & Elizabeth White. Iradell Ray died in 1914. He was the brother of James and John Ray. All three served in Co. G, 37th VA infantry during the Civil War.
